2022-11-21: Perks System, New Map

This major update of ISS introduces the new perks system. Perks provide passive bonuses and effects to the player and are non-activatable. The player can have 4 perks in total and they occupy slots separate from abilities. Other notable features of this update include a redesigned HUD, a new map, many layout and design changes to existing maps and various gameplay changes and bug fixes. Refer to the full changelog for details.

- All non-activatable abilities have been converted to perks.
- Some abilities now require stamina to be activated while others have cooldowns.

- Furniture now creates debris when destroyed.
- Increased size of damage text.
- The merchant in Zombie Onslaught no longer sells item crates.
- Internal works of the minimap for increased performance.
- Reworked the info text system.
- Water tiles can now be created in the editor without a coastline.
- Reworked minimap logic for increased performance.
- Reworked Push Back ability to last for an extended duration.
- Reworked Magnetism perk to only pull useable item crates when the player has empty inventory spaces.
- Significant improvements to overall memory usage.
- Return to Sender perk now always returns damage.
- Increased Life Steal perk activation chance by 5%.
- Reworked and redesigned the HUD.
- Design and layout of interaction text.
- System username now displays in the deathmatch kill feed.
- Minimap is now rendered as a circle and is positioned in the top-right of the screen.
- Made fire rate weapon mod available for auto shotgun.
- Made extended magazine weapon mod available for auto shotgun and AK47.
- Bullets now have a base critical damage chance of 5%.
- Ultra Crit perk now increases critical hit damage chance by 35%.
- Soldiers now spawn with either a rifle or a shotgun.
- Soldiers that spawn with a rifle now have a 5% chance to spawn with a laser sight.
- Poison zombies now disperses orbs that emit poisonous gas when killed.
- Slight adjustments to zombie damage in late-game phases.
Fixed
- NPC weapons not being removed correctly in certain situations.
- Incorrect sizing of screen bloom effect in certain situations.
- Soldiers will no longer walk on top of the barriers of their base.
