2022-11-21: Perks System, New Map


This major update of ISS introduces the new perks system. Perks provide passive bonuses and effects to the player and are non-activatable. The player can have 4 perks in total and they occupy slots separate from abilities. Other notable features of this update include a redesigned HUD, a new map, many layout and design changes to existing maps and various gameplay changes and bug fixes.   • Return to Sender perk now always returns damage.

  • Reworked and redesigned the HUD.

  • System username now displays in the deathmatch kill feed.
  • Minimap is now rendered as a circle and is positioned in the top-right of the screen.
  • Made fire rate weapon mod available for auto shotgun.
  • Made extended magazine weapon mod available for auto shotgun and AK47.
  • Bullets now have a base critical damage chance of 5%.
  • Ultra Crit perk now increases critical hit damage chance by 35%.
  • Soldiers now spawn with either a rifle or a shotgun.
  • Soldiers that spawn with a rifle now have a 5% chance to spawn with a laser sight.
  • Poison zombies now disperses orbs that emit poisonous gas when killed.
  • Slight adjustments to zombie damage in late-game phases.

Fixed

  • NPC weapons not being removed correctly in certain situations.
  • Incorrect sizing of screen bloom effect in certain situations.
  • Soldiers will no longer walk on top of the barriers of their base.
