2023-03-18: Tweaker Turmoil


This major update marks the launch of the newest scenario, Tweaker Turmoil. In Tweaker Turmoil, the goal is to defend your base from waves of enemies with waves increasing in intensity and duration as the game progresses. Between each wave you have the opportunity to loot the map for resources and build new defensive structures around your base. Survive all 15 waves to win.

  • Added
    • Tweaker Turmoil scenario.
    • New animated main menu screen with updated UI design/layout.
    • New loading screen with an updated design/layout.
    • New impact effect for NPC melee attacks.
    • New impact sound effects for various types of entities.
    • New texture for the turret craftable.
    • New debris textures.
    • Overlay that displays the effective range-based craftables when in crafting mode.
    • Deflector craftable. The deflector craftable deflects incoming projectiles with a small cooldown between each deflection.
    • Railgun craftable. The Railgun craftable shoots a projectile at high speeds which deals a massive amount of damage. The Railgun craftable has a higher effective range than the Turret and Tesla Coil, but also has a much lower rate of fire.

    • Projectiles no longer collide with barricades.
    • The Fire Wall perk now spawns fire in the shape of a circle as opposed to a rectangle.
    • Various UI updates and improvements.
    • Reduced bullet mass to prevent knock-back effect.
    • Craftables can now be repaired using the middle mouse button when hovering over them in crafting mode.
    • General improvements to NPC target finding.
    • Increased turret max health to 150.
    • Slightly decreased turret rate of fire.
    • Turrets now have unlimited ammo.
    • Repellers now push away projectiles in addition to enemies.
    • Crafting menu now displays information about cooldown times.
    • Artisan perk no longer grants a full component refund when removing craftables.
    • Increased the size of the light sources for the Small Light and Large Light Craftables.
    • Craftables are now organized by their category in the crafting menu.
    • Certain craftables now emit smoke when their health drops below a certain level.
    • Reverted to using trails for the Dash ability’s activation effect.
    • Various improvements to the effects system.
  • Fixed
    • A few minor issues with memory allocation/deallocation.
    • Issue where blip effects were not being sized correctly.
    • Positioning of trails behind projectiles to be more precise.
    • Line of sight for some entities not being calculated correctly in certain situations.
  • Removed
    • Cluster map.
